～２４年間ありがとう～
平成６年４月、君はニシキ（当時錦鉄工）にやって来た。
会社の中で誰よりも大きく、何者顔で入って来た。
初めて見たときは「デカいな、扱いづらそうだな」の印象だった。
１週間の講習の後、一緒に仕事を始めた。
最初は言う事を聞かず、散々手を焼いたが、言う事を聞かないのは私の指示ミスで
正確な指示をすれば正確な仕事をした。小さい製品から大きな製品まで指示通りに働いた
日が経つにつれて私と息が合って来る。君とならどんな仕事もこなせると思う。
頂いた仕事は何でもこなしていたが、大きすぎる製品で機内のカバーを壊してしまった事もあったが、直ぐに立ち直り、又働きだした。
いつも一緒に働いた。時には納期確保の為、徹夜も有ったが、君は無言で働く。
翌日、私は仮眠を取る時も有るが、君は休まず働いていた。
当時は土、日も出勤もよくあったが、君も何も言わず付き合ってくれていた。
月日が流れ約１０年間一緒に働いていた。

平成１６年９月　埼玉県日高市から、比企郡ときがわ町に工場移転を行った
移転後、慣れない環境の為か、君は不機嫌になり働かなくなった。だが、私にはお見通しだ。
１週間は働かないだろうと移転前に２週間分の在庫を作っていたのだ。やはり約１週間後、君は又働きだした。

平成２６年７月、今まで指示通り働いて来た君が突然指示通りに働かなくなった
原因不明の事態に戸惑った。その後はいつも通り正確に仕事はしていたが、私の中では
不信感が残っていた。

平成２５年２月、不信感を持っていた私は君と同じ仕事をこなす仲間を入れた。
同時に君を引退させようと思っていたが、まだ働けると訴えて来る。
もう少し面倒を見ようと決断した。
近年は冬になるとジェットヒーターで温めないと動かなくなり、夏はエアコンの風を当てないと不機嫌になる。平成２６年頃からそんな日々が続いた

平成２９年１月、だんだん仕事ぶりも限界になって来ている。私は「引退してもらう」判断をした。平成３０年４月、君の代わりがやって来ることになったので、４月２０日が最終日と決まった。私は最後の日まで頑張ってくれと願う。
最終日が近づき、今までの感謝を込めて毎日拭いて、君をきれいに磨いた。
最終日前日、普段よりきれいになった君だが、引取業者が運びやすいように配線やホースなどを外す。下回りを見てみると油汚れが多かった。気が付かなくて申し訳ない。
最後に配電盤の電線を外し眠りにつかせる。機械商社様には「この機械はスクラップにしかならない」と言われていたが、もしかしたら他の会社でまた元気に働くことが出来るかも知れないと思い、パーツも全て揃えて外に出した。雨に濡れない様にビニールカバーで覆って
引き取られるのを待っている。
そして翌日会社を去っていった。
